About Us

Mohamed A. Kourtu, M.D., DABPM, DABA

 Dr. Kourtu is board certified through the American Board of Anesthesiology with a sub specialty certification in pain management. He is also certified through the American Board of Pain Medicine. He has established a highly competent pain management service that follows the guidelines put forth by ISIS (International Spine Intervention Society) ASIPP (American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians), and NASS (North American Spine Society). Dr. Kourtu has throughout the years maintained the required training for these affiliations. 
 
        Dr. Kourtu has over 20 years of experience in Pain Management and Anesthesiology. He attended St. George and Victoria College as well as the University of Cairo where he graduated medical school. Dr. Kourtu then went on to complete his residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC with primary focus in interventional pain management. Dr. Kourtu's experience includes time at various medical facilities like the Harbor UCLA Medical Center in California, and Harris Anesthesia Associates in New York where he was the acting Director of Anesthesia.  

WEDNESDAY ELDER, CRNP

 Wednesday Elder, CRNP is the newest member of our team. She is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and has significant experience in acute and chronic pain management. Licensed in Pennsylvania and New York, Wednesday works in conjunction with Dr. Kourtu to provide increased access for patients in need of pain assessment and treatment, including trigger point injections, joint injections under guided ultrasound, pain pump adjustments and refills.  


Professional Affiliations: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and New York State Pain Society 


Clinical Experience:  WCA Hospital - Emergency Medicine  Brooks Memorial Hospital - Emergency Medicine  Buffalo General Hospital  Pine Grove Surgical Center  


Education: MS, Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner  Daemen College of New York  BS, Nursing, Shepherd University of West Virginia  Wednesday sees patients in both the Warren and Jamestown offices.
